  • Joint venture formed between Rockwell and Mitsubishi Steel Manufacturing to manufacture coil springs, stabilizer bars and torsion bars

    1992 ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL SUSPENSION SYSTEMS CO.

  • Hopkinsville, Kentucky site begins operations for torsion bars

    1993 ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL SUSPENSION SYSTEMS CO.

  • Hopkinsville facility expands operating capacity to include stabilizer bars

    1997 MERITOR SUSPENSION SYSTEMS CO.

  • Rockwell spins off automotive division creating Meritor Automotive

    2000 MERITOR SUSPENSION SYSTEMS CO.

  • Meritor Automotive and Arvin Industries consolidate creating ArvinMeritor. The Hopkinsville facility is expanded to include coil springs

    2009 MSSC

  • Mitsubishi Steel Manufacturing purchases Meritor’s interest in the joint venture, and the new company is renamed after it's renown brand, MSSC

    2010 MSSC

  • Coil spring operations are added in Chatham, Ontario
